Washington Twp.- Consequences of Sgt. Schultz syndrome: Will Washington Twp. be the next Garfield?

Gasoline contamination is the story that just won't go away in Washington Township.

Hillsdale- Paralysis by Analysis: Op-Ed by Kevin O'Brien

Mayor Arnowitz stated in Feb 2014, the sign ordinance was enacted, approved and is law. Despite 5 years of debate, input from several attorneys and thousands of tax dollars in fees to create the sign ordinance, the Town Council shelved it and will now spend more tax dollars rewriting it again. Breach in Rules of Law occur because of neglect, ignorance and administrative abuse.

Washington Twp.- 11/10/2014 Council meeting: Council President promised decision on artificial turf in a month.

At the 11/10/2014 Town Council meeting, residents addressed the governing body about safety concerns at  exit 168, the fallen tree by the culvert in the yard of the infamous white house owned by James Kourgelis of Seasons that's been there for months, traffic on Town Day making it difficult for residents leaving their driveway; but, overall, the meeting was dominated by members of the recreation committee, whose objective appears to be artificial turf for Memorial Field.

Hillsdale- Mayor Sends Mixed Message: Op-Ed by Kevin O'Brien

Mayor Arnowitz at the July 2014 Council Meeting, supported a presentation from Keith Durie, over selling 4 lots on Hillsdale Ave to Fornazor International. Those borough lots are located between the Hillsdale Library and the old church, now owned by Fornazor International. Durie, a prior Hillsdale Official, is related to Fornazor.

Washington Twp.- Let the People Vote on Artificial Turf for Memorial Field: Petition for a Referendum attached

With all the major capital projects on the horizon in Washington Township, why is the Mayor and Council pushing through the expenditure for artificial turf on Memorial Field?  Of all projects the governing body could address, why is Memorial Field given priority?  Who benefits from the installation of artificial turf?  The installation of artificial turf benefits only the dominant numerical minority, not the subordinate numerical majority of the people being force fed the will of  read more
